8th Grader - Fullback & Defensive END
Konnor had never ran the ball before the 2007 season. His work ethnic and coachability allowed him to get better in every game he played. By the END of the season, his blocking and rushing ability made him a starter in every game. On defense, he was as consistent of a defensive END as you will ever find.
OFFENSE
RUSHING - 269 yards on 35 carries with 3 TDs - Averaged 7.7 yards per carry
DEFENSE
17.5 tackles (9 Solo 17 Assists)

8th Grader - Fullback & Corner
OFFENSE
Nick started every game at either Fullback or Tailback. By the END of the year, he was a hard nose runner who ran over people but had the speed to run around them.
RUSHING - 245 yards on 50 carries with 4 TDs - Averaged 4.9 yards per carry
DEFENSE
Nick started the year at Linebacker however was not really a good fit there, so he was moved to Corner where he became the best cover Corner and helped solidify the Wolverines defense the later half of the year.
Nick had 29.5 tackles (20 Solo 19 Assists)

7th Grader - Defensive End
DEFENSE
Joey was voted on by the players to win this award because of his performance at the end of the 2005 season and more importantly in the Division II Championship Game. Joey resembled Reggie White coming off the right side of the defense. He had one huge sack and also had several pressures on the quarterback which led to 2 interceptions by the Wolverines defense.
Joey was basically a backup the whole year however he kept getting better which opened the door for him to become Most Improved Player.

8th Grader - Wide Receiver and Corner
DEFENSE
6 Tackles (2 Solo and 8 Assists)
1 Pass Deflection which came in the Division I Playoff Game against the Jets. Zach started out the season not even in the mix on the defensive side of the ball and improved not only his speed but his technique throughout the season which earned him a starting role towards the END of the season. In the first quarter of the Division I Playoff Game, the Jets attempted to run a fly pattern to Zach's receiver however he was with the receiver stride for stride and deflected the pass. Again, this from a player who was not even a 2nd string corner at the beginning of the season and it was in the biggest game of the year.
OFFENSE
Zach was the backup QB for the majority of the season, however through determination and his work ethic, Zach earned a spot on the starting Wide Receiver Rotation and caught a key pass at the END of the first half in the Division I Playoff Game against the Jets. May not seem much to the common fan, however it was important because Zach had not caught a single pass in practice so for him to step up and catch a big time pass for a first down at a crucial moment in the game shows his improvement on the offensive side of the ball.

8th Grader - Tight End and Linebacker
Vince did not play in 2002 and was not expected to even make the team. However he did not only make the team but he started every game on defense and was the second leading tackler on the team.
29 Tackles (13 Solo & 32 Assists)
On offense, Vince started the year as a Wide-Receiver however his size allowed him to play Tight End as well where he became a starter the last half of the year and even caught a touchdown pass in his last game at Jim Kidwell Field.

8th Grader - Quarterback & Corner
Gabe finished his career as a 3 year Wolverine. In 2001, he was only used on offense where he was the backup QB. In 2003, Gabe was primarily a defensive player as he started every game at corner. He was not the fastest player but he used his abilities to play smart football. For the second year, Gabe was the 2nd string QB and got to start a game against the Packers early in the season.

2001 was Jordan's first year and he finished the year with the second most receiving yards in Wolverines history.

8th Grader - Tight End & Linebacker
Eric to put in frankly was a punk when he first started playing for the Wolverines. However, by the end of the year there was not a player that represented the Wolverines "Gentleman With Courage" motto more. Eric played sparringly on offense and contributed on defense at linebacker. He missed several games due to a broken arm however still managed to impress coaches enough to earn this award.
