Outstanding Offensive Player

The Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year Award is given to the 7th & 8th Grade player who the coaching staff feels was the most crucial and important player when the Wolverines were on offense. This award is not always given to the star quarterback or runningback as lineman are eligible to win this award.

Passing - 909 yards with 19 TDs and 1 INTs (51 for 79 - 64.6% completion rate)
Rushing - 231 yards on 41 carries with 6 TDs (Averaged 5.6 yds per carry)
**Ranks 1st All-Time for Single Season Passing Efficiency.
**Ranks 3rd All-Time for Single Season Passing Touchdowns.

2006 - 356 yards on 67 carries with 7 TDs.
**Led the team in rushing in 2006

PASSING:
2005 - 435 yards with 9 TDs and 5 INTs (28 for 66 - 42%).
2006 - 925 yards with 15 TDs and 3 INTs (49 for 124 - 40%).
Career - 1,360 yards with 24 TDs and 8 INTs (77 for 190 - 41%).
**Ranks 2nd All-Time for single season Passing Yards and Touchdowns.
**Ranks 2nd All-Time for Career Touchdowns and Passing Yards.

2006 - 447 yards on 28 catches with 4 TDs.
**HOLDS ALL-TIME CAREER RECEIVING YARDS for the 7th & 8th Grade with 552 yards

Rushing - 63 yards on 9 carries with 2 TDs.

2005 - 332 yards with 7 TDs and 9 INTs (25 for 68 - 37%)

Rushing - 26 yards on 11 carries with 1 TDs.

Receiving - 47 yards on 4 catches with 3 TDs.

Punting - 9 kicks for 232 yards - Avg; 25.7 yards per kick

Joe Mike was asked to play several different positions because of his athletic ability. His biggest plays however came in the Division II Championship Game where he caught a touchdown pass and also had a huge punt which was downed on the 2 yard line.

2004 - 895 yards with 14 TDs and 3 INTs (59 for 113 - 52%)
Career - 1,160 yards with 17 TDS and 3 INTs (75 for 140 - 54%)

Rushing - 71 yards on 20 carries with 3 TDs.

Jimmy's passing effiency rate with only 3 interceptions on 113 attempts was brilliant and his command and leadership of the offense earned him the respect of both the players and the coaches, impressive numbers for an 8th Grader.

#42 Morgan Ward
8th Grader - Quarterback
3-year Missouri Wolverine (started playing as a 6th Grader)
2001 - 5th & 6th Grade Most Valuable Player

409 Passing Yards (33 for 77 - 43%)
7 Passing TDs & 2 Rushing TDs

Morgan will not be remembered as one of the all-time yardage leaders however his knowledge and understanding of the offense made him a leader on the field. Morgan missed 3 games due to injuries or his stats would have been much more impressive.

#3 Michael Bonacorso
8th Grader - Quarterback
4-year Missouri Wolverine (started playing as a 5th Grader)

595 Passing Yards
11 Touchdowns

Michael will be remembered as one of the most accurate quarterbacks to ever play for the Wolverines. Unfortunately, he also led the league in dropped passes in 2002 or his stats would have been much higher. He missed one game due to injury but rebounded and led the Wolverines to the Division II Championship.

2001 Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year

#30 Chris Johnson
8th Grader - Tailback & Wide-Receiver

470 Rushing, 378 Receiving, and 112 Special Teams for a total of 960 All-Purpose Yards.
19 Touchdowns

Chris started every game at Tailback and was used at Wide-Receiver when the Wolverines needed a big play. His outstanding speed still makes him one of the fastest players to ever play for the Wolverines and the fade route was designed for a player like Chris to run.

2000 Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year

#19 Blaine Patterson
7th Grader - Quarterback

771 Passing Yards
11 Touchdowns

Blaine started 9 out of the 11 games in 2000 at QB. He is the first 7th Grader to win this award.



  [#34 Travis Rowden]
1999 Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year

#34 Travis Rowden
8th Grader - Fullback
TEAM CAPTAIN

302 Rushing Yards
8 Touchdowns & 5 First Downs

Travis missed the majority of the season with a broken wrist, however started at Fullback every game he was healthy. One of the hardest hitting Fullbacks to play for the Wolverines.
